7) License and Acceptable Use
7.1 License to you
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal use, as applicable.
7.2 Restrictions
You may not, and may not permit or assist any third party to:
(a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
(b) bypass or attempt to bypass security safeguards, access controls, authentication, verification procedures, or rate limits;
(c) interfere with, disrupt, degrade, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except through an authorized program we make available;
(d) use the Service for any activity prohibited by the AUP or Anti-Abuse Policy;
(e) use the Service in a manner that violates applicable law or third-party rights;
(f) resell, lease, sublicense, white-label, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly authorized by us in writing;
(g) use the Service to develop, benchmark, train, improve, or support a competing product or service, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law;
(h) use the Service to evade identity verification, payment controls, anti-abuse systems, or policy enforcement; or
(i) access or use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or related systems.
7.3 AUP and Anti-Abuse compliance required
Your use of the Service must comply with the AUP and the Anti-Abuse Policy at all times.
8) Customer Content
8.1 Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for Customer Content and for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, consents, and authorization necessary to register domain names, publish DNS records, submit support content, and otherwise use the Service.
8.2 License to us
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, cache, reproduce, analyze, display, and otherwise use Customer Content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, support, improve, and enforce the Service, these Terms, and the Policies, and to comply with law.
8.3 Representations
You represent and warrant that Customer Content, your domains, your DNS records, your domain-related requests, and your use of the Service do not and will not:
(a) violate any law or regulation;
(b) infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any third-party rights;
(c) create obligations for us beyond those expressly stated in these Terms; or
(d) involve fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, unlawful, or prohibited conduct.
8.4 Sensitive data discouraged
Do not store sensitive personal data, authentication secrets, payment card data, regulated health data, export-controlled technical data, or other highly sensitive information in DNS records. DNS is widely cached, replicated, and often publicly queryable by design.
8.5 Responsibility for effects of content
You acknowledge that DNS changes and domain actions may affect websites, email, certificate issuance, application availability, service discovery, routing, verification systems, and external integrations, and you assume responsibility for those effects to the extent caused by your instructions, content, or configurations.
8.6 Enforcement actions
We may reject, remove, disable, quarantine, decline to publish, lock, or otherwise restrict Customer Content, zones, records, domains, or domain-related requests where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary or appropriate to protect the Service, comply with law, prevent abuse, investigate fraud, respond to legal process, enforce these Terms or the Policies, or mitigate risk to users, third parties, or the DNS ecosystem.
9) Intellectual Property
9.1 Our IP
We and our licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, Documentation, branding, software, interfaces, APIs, know-how, and related intellectual property rights. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
9.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations regarding the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, incorporate, disclose, and otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction or obligation to you.
9.3 Service Data
We own Service Data and any aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data derived from the use or operation of the Service, provided that such data does not identify you as the source except as otherwise permitted by law or our Privacy Policy.
10) Support and Communications
10.1 Support
Support, if any, is provided as described in your plan, Documentation, and any applicable Order Form. Support availability, channels, hours, and any target response times may vary by plan and may change from time to time. We may use third-party tools, including Freshdesk or similar systems, to provide support.
10.2 Support guidance
Support responses, troubleshooting recommendations, configuration suggestions, and other assistance are provided for convenience only and do not modify these Terms, create warranties, or shift responsibility for your configurations, content, compliance obligations, or business decisions.
10.3 Service communications
We may send operational, transactional, legal, compliance, abuse, security, billing, maintenance, policy, and incident communications related to your Account or the Service. You may opt out of marketing communications where applicable, but you may not opt out of essential service, security, legal, billing, or compliance communications.
